The Saskatchewan Nurses Foundation (SNF) is supported by donations from SNF members, members of the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS), Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN), nursing school alumnae associations, corporate groups, and individuals.
SNF is a charity registered with Revenue Canada. Receipts are issued to all donors for income tax purposes. All contributions are recognized. Donations may be targeted to the general fund or to a specific bursary.
Donations made in memory of an individual will be recognized with a card of notification. Acknowledgement of these donations will also be included in the “In memorium” book (located under “Publications” tab).
Information about establishing a “named” bursary or about planned giving may be obtained by contacting the Foundation directly.
Interested individuals, groups, or organizations may support the SNF through:
- Personal donations
- “in memory” donations and bequests
- Planned giving
All donations support the SNF bursary program. Increased knowledge about health challenges, new technology, research findings, and the ever changing health system create the need for continuing and advanced education for nurses. This education helps nurses to obtain the knowledge and skills to meet these needs.
As educational opportunities increase for undergraduate nursing education, nurses with advanced education and credentials are needed in nursing education.
SNF provides a vehicle for anyone to financially support advanced nursing education.
Saskatchewan residents benefit because increased knowledge means the very best in nursing care.
